7. Validation/Verification and Certification
The Final Stage for Your Environmental Project
Congratulations! You've reached the final stage. Validation and Certification is the process where your project undergoes an external audit, receives the international seal of quality, and issues credits ready for sale.
What does it consist of?
On-site audit
A third-party validator/verifier (VVB) visits the project to confirm that it meets all the certification body's criteria.
Correction of observations
Resolution of any non-conformity detected during the audit.
Official certification
Obtaining the endorsement of the certifying body ( e.g. , Verra, Gold Standard, Biocarbon) and issuing credits in international registries.
Formal sale
Signing of the contract with the buyer (negotiated during the pre-sale stage) and payment management through international lawyers and banks.
Why is it essential?
Global credibility
Validation by an independent third party ensures transparency and trust.
End of cycle
Credits are issued and sold, generating real income for everyone involved.
Demonstrable impact
Your project officially contributes to the fight against climate change and sustainable development.
